Sports Massage… A Great Career Choice

Sports Massage… A Great Career Choice

Over the years we have had several students contact us following the completion of their course to update us on their success and also their careers. Recently we received an e-mail from Clare who completed our Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy in Liverpool back in August of last year in which she outlines her experiences on our course and also what life has been like since she graduated…

Following the completion of my Sports Massage Course in Liverpool I have since set up my own clinic at the gym where I work. I completed this course to offer my clients something extra and to avoid having to refer them to someone else for their recovery and massages. However, since I started advertising my services I now provide more massage sessions and work with more massage clients than what I do Personal Training clients. More and more gym users and Personal Training clients are aware of the benefits of sports massage now compared to three or even two years ago and because I’m the only qualified massage therapist at my gym I receive most of the referrals.

I have always been a busy Personal Trainer, but since taking onboard Joe’s advice during the course and marketing tips I now have a waiting list for Personal Training and Sports Massage clients because I just don’t have enough time in the week. I only work 30 hours a week due to having two children, but those 30 hours are full and back to back with clients.

I can honestly say that by completing this qualification with Fitness HQ my business has improved and grown more than I thought possible.

For anyone considering the Level 3 Sports Massage course, I can’t recommend Fitness HQ or the tutor Joe enough, they were excellent from start to finish. The weekend workshops were excellent. Joe goes into a lot of detail about working with different types of clients ranging from the average Jane to working with elite athletes and Super League Rugby Players. His knowledge about different techniques and when to apply them is second to none. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop weekends as did the rest of my class, the theory aspect was interesting but the practical sessions were by far my favourite.

I’m now waiting desperately to complete the level 4 Sports Massage Course with Fitness HQ so I can learn more from Joe and the team.”
